亚洲通_亚洲通官网 School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 had organized a guest lecture on the topic “Role of Infection Prevention and Control Nurse in preventing Healthcare-associated infections in Irish Acute Hospital” by Mrs. Prathiba Karkada, Clinical Nurse Manager -2, Infection Prevention and Control, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, County Louth, Dublin, Ireland on 7th November 2022 at 10.30 am at II floor classroom, MCON, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网..

Mrs. Prathiba discussed on the scope of nurses in Ireland hospitals, the setup of the infection control committee, healthcare-associated infections, and the role of infection control nurses in the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. She also stressed standard precautions and enlightened the participants by quoting instances from her clinical experience.

A total of 140 participants attended the session. It was a useful and interactive session and participants could acquire knowledge on the prevention of healthcare associated infections.
