Intraoral scanner, 3D printing and Software workflow for 3D printing

The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics conducted a seminar on “Intraoral scanner, 3D printing and Software workflow for 3D printing” on 6 March 2023. The resource person was Mr. Iraimudi, Head of Healthcare, SR Technologies from 10:30 am-12 pm.
Mr. Iraimudi spoke about the TRIOS intraoral scanner, NEXT 5100 3D printer and its dental applications and software workflow in the fabrication of clear aligners using 3D printer. He also discussed some cases treated with 3D printed implants and 3D printed and reconstructed jaw. A scanning demonstration was given to the 57 participants, many of whom, were impressed by the speed and accuracy of the intraoral scanner.
