Awareness Program on Body Images Issues

An awareness program was organized by the Department of Occupational Therapy, SOAHS, MAHE, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 on 26^th and 27^th October 29, 2018, on “Body Image Issues” for 8^th to 10^th-grade students of Madhav Kripa and Christ school, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网. The objective of the program was to sensitize the students on the effects of body image issues on the daily occupations such as academics, social participation – on friendship, attending family/social gatherings, self –care. The students were informed how to act on these issues. The importance of self-love and acceptance was emphasized. The program was delivered through a skit, powerpoint presentation, and interaction with students. 227 students and their teachers participated in the program.
