Important Information for Selected Candidates
Travel Elements:
All participants are entitled to third AC train fare. Those travelling by higher class or other modes will be reimbursed up to the third AC train fare (whichever is less). Travel documents (tickets, boarding pass, and a copy of the return travel documents) must be retained?and shall be attached with the reimbursement form, provided during the event. ?
Travel fare shall be calculated from the nearest railway station (to participant's address) to Udupi station. ?If participants are travelling by train/air to Mangalore, then the connecting travel fare (via public transport only) shall be reimbursed. ?
Please Note: TA reimbursements will be processed only after the event by the finance department. Further details shall be provided during the event. ?
Accommodation Elements:
All participants will be provided with?free non-AC rooms on a sharing basis during their stay. The accommodations shall be arranged from the 15th of September afternoon to the 21st of?September morning. ?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided at the event venue/accommodation facility during the stay. ?
Participants arriving before the above-mentioned dates shall be provided accommodation at the hostel upon prior intimation. Hostel charges apply.

About the School
The school intends to train participants from various academic levels on the basics of Space Radiation. With space tourism being a hot topic of future, and the effects of space radiation on earth, it is important that the entrepreneurs and space scientists of today and tomorrow know the fundamentals of space radiation.

?X-ray and gamma-ray detectors, characterisation of NaI detectors ?
Detector parameters, calibration and characterisation.
HpGe detector ?
Characterisation, energy resolution and efficiency ?
Multi-messengers' study of solar flares? ?
Introduction to Aditya-L1 mission, correlating particle flux variations with solar events, other missions and ground based facilities.?
UV telescope onboard Aditya L1 ?
Various payloads on on the Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope, Characterisation and Calibration.
X-ray telescope onboard Aditya L1 ?
SOLEX & HELIOS payloads,? Characterisation and calibration?
Data analysis of archival data from SUIT onboard Aditya-L1 ?
Image analysis, limb darkening corrections, Flare related UV studies, Chromospheric parameters from standard tools.?
Analysis of observational data ?
Analysis techniques, timing and spectral studies?
Data analysis of archival data from SOLEX onboard Aditya-L1 ?
Analysis of Soft X-ray data, spectral fitting, phases of a solar flare
Impact of space radiation on space assets, humans and space experiments ?

At the end of the school, based on the performance, a few students may be selected for advanced training in partner universities in USA.
