- Liaises with Dean/Associate Deans.
- Is involved in overall day-to-day administration of the department.
- Coordinates specific academic activities of the department.
- Prepares of annual budget and infrastructure requirements of the department.
- Reviews department activities.
- Prepares and implements teaching schedules.
- Initiates curriculum development, modification etc.
- Organizes academic activities such as guest lectures, seminars etc.
- Guides postgraduate students in academic activities.
- Sets question paper sets for the University.
- Also prepares department for reviews and inspection by statutory bodies such as MCI, ISO, NAAC.
