Dato' Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie bin Sheikh Mustapha (born 27 July 1972) is a Malaysian orthopaedic surgeon and the first Malaysian astronaut. He launched to the 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 Space Station aboard Soyuz TMA-11 with the Expedition 16 crew on 10 October 2007.[2][3] Sheikh Muszaphar flew under an agreement with Russia through the Angkasawan program, and returned to Earth on 21 October 2007, aboard Soyuz TMA-10 with the Expedition 15 crew members, Fyodor Yurchikhin and Oleg Kotov. Dr. Kotturathu Mammen "K.M." Cherian (born 8 March 1942) is an Indian heart surgeon. He attended Kasturba Medical College, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网. He performed India's first coronary artery bypass surgery in 1975 at 亚洲通_亚洲通官网ern Railway Head Quarters hospital, Perambur, Chennai. He is the founder of Frontier Lifeline Hospital, where he performed India's second heart transplant surgery in 1995. He also performed the country's first heart-lung transplant and the country's first pediatric cardiac surgery.
He was awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1991, and was honorary surgeon to the President of India from 1990 to 1993. In June 2000, Cherian received a lifetime achievement award from Kasturba Medical College for contributions made to the field of cardiothoracic surgery in India. He received a Harvard Medical Excellence Award in 2005, through a panel organized by Harvard Medical School.
His name is engraved in one of the stones at Kos Island, Greece along with three other Indian surgeons, on the occasion of the 18th World Congress held by the World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons held between 30 April – 3 May 2008. In 2010, Cherian became the first Indian to be designated president of the World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons. In May 2016, Cherian was selected to be a member of the "Founder Circle" of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Rajasekharan P. Warrier is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist in Jefferson, Louisiana and is affiliated with?Ochsner Medical Center.?He received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College 亚洲通_亚洲通官网. He performed his pediatric residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI., and completed two fellowships in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Rajasekharan P. Warrier, who was the Vice-Chancellor of 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 University for nearly three years. Dr. H. Sudarshan Ballal was born in Udupi, a coastal district of Karnataka, India. He did his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 in 1977 and won the Dr. T. M. A. Pai Gold Medal for the Best Outgoing Student for the year 1976. After completing his MBBS degree he went to the US for further study of M.D. His teachers in the US accepted his training in India very well and his three-year program was relaxed by a year and he completed his M.D. in just two years. After obtaining his M.D degree, he did his residency at Deaconess Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He then pursued his Fellowship in Nephrology at St. Louis University Medical Centre, Missouri, USA.

Ltd., and examiner for the Royal College of Physicians London.? He performed the first cadaver Kidney transplantation in Karnataka. In 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Rajyotsava Award by the Government of Karnataka for his contributions to the field of Medicine. He was awarded an honorary FRCP (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London) without having worked or trained at any of the hospitals in the UK.? Dr. Ballal actively supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ayushman Bharat Yojana campaign. Dr. Ballal is a member of the Consultative Group of Covid 19 fight. Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil Parambath was born on 11 January 1977 in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. After his schooling, he pursued an MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网, then obtained his MD in radiology from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 Institute, Chennai. He did his radiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Vayalil is an Indian radiologist and businessman. He is the founder, chairman, and managing director of VPS Healthcare Group, and the vice-chairman and managing director of Amanat Holdings, a healthcare and education investment company. As of June 2019, Vayalil has a net worth of US$1.4 billion.

Dr. Darez Ahamed is a medical doctor turned bureaucrat who joined the Indian Administrative Service in 2005. As of May 2021, he is the Mission Director of National Health Mission Tamilnadu. He was honored by Prime Minister for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2012-13.

Ahamed was born on 2 February 1977 in Manjeri, Kerala. He graduated in Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网, and in 2005 joined in Indian Administrative Service. On being awarded the Chevening scholarship, he took study leave from September 2019 to September 2020 & did his Master of Science in Health Policy Planning and Financing at London School of Economics & London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

During his training, he was keenly involved in the conduct of Panchayat elections as Pappapatti and other villages and contributed as a case study on good governance. Rao has been offering health care to rural people free of cost for the last 36 years. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010 for his contribution to the field of medicine.
