A special session on ‘Film Aesthetics: Beyond curriculum’ by well-known film-maker Abhaya Simha and a screening of his film ‘Paddayi’ will be held on May 20, 2024, under the auspices of Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences, MAHE, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网. The programme will take place at 10.15 am at Planetarium Auditorium, MAHE, on May 20, 2024, followed by a movie screening and discussion, said Prof Varadesh Hiregange, Head, GCPAS, MAHE.

Abhaya Simha is a two-time National Film Award-winning filmmaker. An alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). In his career spanning over 13 years, he has directed four feature films (Gubbachigalu – 2008, Shikari – 2012, Sakkare – 2014 and Paddayi – 2018) and over 300 video films of various lengths on environmental issues and cultural heritage.
