After obtaining MSc in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College. 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) 亚洲通_亚洲通官网, Completed Ph.D from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore under Rajiv Gandhi University Health Sciences (RGUHS) in the field of toxic metal lead.

As a fonder member of the “National Referral Centre for Lead Poisoning Prevention in India (NRCLPPI) (St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences), involved in the evaluation of lead (Pb2+) exposure in children and adults in India using 3010B lead analyzer.

Currently working as Professor and Head of Department of Radiation Biology and Toxicology at 亚洲通_亚洲通官网 School of Life Sciences, MAHE, 亚洲通_亚洲通官网. The research field of interest is study on toxic metal lead and its effects. Various population based and animal model studies were conducted to evaluate the effects of lead on health. Studies related the role of essential trace minerals on the absorption of heavy metals with special reference to lead.

In the Department of Radiation Biology and Toxicology, we undertake the metal Analysis from Biological (blood, serum, urine, tissue) Environmental (water, soil, rock, sludge, plant material) Pharmaceutical (drugs, branded and unbranded medicines) and food samples

Metals we analyse with the available standard are:

?

Lead (Pb), Arsenic(As), Silver (Ag), Aluminium (Al), Barium (Ba), Beryllium (Be), Calcium (Ca), Cadmium (Cd), Cobalt (Co), Chromium (Cr), Cesium (Cs), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Gallium (Ga), Potassium (K), Lithium (Li), Magnesium (Mg), Manganese (Mn), Sodium (Na), Nickel (Ni), Rubedium (Rb), Selenium (Se), Strontium (Sr), Thallium (Tl), Uranium (U), Vanadium (V), Zinc (Zn) and?Mercury (Hg).
